Kwankwaso made these remarks during a meeting at his Abuja residence with members of the Fulani Farmers Association. A video of the meeting was shared on X by Habibu Bello Mayana.
He suggested that it is time for the “Waziri of Adamawa” to focus on his chieftaincy duties, considering his age and physical condition, assuring attendees that they would ensure he is well taken care of.
“Those from Adamawa should appeal to Atiku to return home and give proper attention to his responsibilities,” Kwankwaso stated.
He went further to question Atiku’s current suitability to lead Nigeria, asserting that the country has evolved beyond what it was during Atiku's earlier political prominence. “The Nigeria of today is no longer the kind of country that is suitable for him to rule,” he said.
Recalling their political history, Kwankwaso noted, “Nigeria was better suited for him about 30 years ago, especially in 1993,” referencing their encounter during that election year.
