Nollywood Actor Ogogo's Daughters Seek Urgent Medical Help for Their Father Battling Stage-Four Cancer

In a heart-wrenching appeal, Lima and Kira Taiwo, daughters of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, known as Ogogo, have reached out to the public for urgent assistance in securing medical treatment for their father, who is suffering from stage-four cancer. 

In emotional Instagram videos, the sisters revealed the shocking deterioration in their father's health and the refusal of hospitals to provide necessary care. Lima, visibly distraught, urged Nigerians and medical professionals to help save her father's life, stressing that the family is not seeking financial aid, but rather medical intervention.

"Please, give this man a chance," Lima begged, struggling to hold back tears. "We only found out about his condition three weeks ago. His appearance didn’t reflect the severity of his illness until now."

Kira echoed her sister's plea, stating that the hospitals have stopped providing chemotherapy treatments. "If you can treat my daddy, please, I’m begging you," she said, emphasizing that they are looking for anyone with the capability to help, whether through traditional or alternative medicine.

Both daughters expressed their despair over witnessing their father's pain and fear of dying. "He doesn’t want to die," Kira lamented, revealing her own emotional turmoil. "I’ve never seen my daddy in that kind of pain before."

Despite the overwhelming challenges, the family has received some support from relatives, including a senator who has helped cover medical expenses. 

However, the daughters are still urgently seeking additional medical resources or facilities capable of treating their father’s cancer.

Ogogo, 66, is a beloved figure in the Yoruba film industry, boasting a career that spans over four decades and includes more than 300 film appearances. 

As of now, the family has not disclosed specific details about the type of cancer or the hospitals involved.

The sisters' emotional videos have drawn attention from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry, prompting calls for support as they fight to save their father's life. The public is urged to step forward if they have any connections to healthcare providers willing to assist.

As the family navigates this challenging time, Lima and Kira remain hopeful that their father can receive the treatment he desperately needs.
