ADC's governorship candidate Congratulates Adeleke: "Democracy Triumphs!"

Najeem Salaam, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate in the recent Osun State governorship election, has publicly congratulated re-elected Governor Ademola Adeleke, asserting that the election results underscore the triumph of democracy.

In a heartfelt message, Salaam acknowledged the significance of the people's choice, emphasizing that political differences should not overshadow the democratic process.

"I warmly congratulate His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election as the Governor of Osun State. The choice of the people must prevail," he stated.

Salaam remarked that the election serves as a reminder that every political contest has winners and losers, stressing that unity and peace are paramount.

"Politics is not a do-or-die affair. We must respect the people’s decision and work towards maintaining harmony in our state," he added.

He encouraged Adeleke to take stock of his administration's performance during his upcoming term.

"As you begin this new term, I urge you to reflect on areas where you may have fallen short and to build upon the successes you have achieved," Salaam advised.

Further, he called on the governor to focus on inclusive governance that benefits all citizens, regardless of party affiliation. "Osun belongs to all of us.

Our collective responsibility is to foster a state where everyone can live with dignity and hope for a better future," he urged.

Salaam’s congratulatory message comes after Adeleke secured a total of 511,067 votes, defeating his closest rival from the All Progressives Congress, who garnered 444,815 votes. The ADC candidate himself received 17,180 votes.

As he wishes Adeleke a successful second term, Salaam hopes it will bring "greater development, peace, and prosperity" to the people of Osun State. "The people have spoken; democracy has prevailed," he concluded, reinforcing the idea that electoral outcomes should be respected and celebrated.

Salaam's message of unity and respect for the electoral process highlights the importance of collaboration and peace in governance, setting a positive tone as Osun State moves forward under Adeleke’s leadership.
