Saraki Celebrates Launch of 500-Seater ICT Centre in Bauchi, Aims to Empower Youths

A former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, recently inaugurated a state-of-the-art 500-seater Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre in Bauchi, commissioned by the Peoples Democratic Party's gubernatorial candidate, Usman Suphi. This initiative underscores a commitment to youth empowerment and educational advancement.

At the commissioning event, Saraki was represented by Kawu Baraje, the former Acting National Chairman of the PDP. Baraje conveyed Saraki’s congratulations to the people of Bauchi for having a visionary leader like Suphi, emphasizing the importance of education and youth development.

"This centre is not just a building; it symbolizes hope and opportunity for our youth," Suphi stated. He highlighted that the facility is equipped with brand-new laptops and a Local Area Network, catering specifically to the needs of students in Azare and its neighboring communities.

Saraki called on the youth to take ownership of the facility, urging them to utilize it to enhance their digital skills and knowledge. He stressed the importance of education in shaping future leaders who can actively participate in the digital revolution.

Suphi further elaborated that the ICT Centre was designed to adapt to ongoing technological changes, ensuring that students are not merely observers but active participants in the digital landscape. "Our objective is to equip young people with the tools they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world," he declared.

The project aligns with the philosophy of the Assufiyya Humanitarian Foundation, which prioritizes service to humanity as the highest form of leadership. Suphi expressed gratitude to all supporters who contributed to the project’s completion and reiterated the foundation's commitment to education, healthcare, and youth empowerment.

He also called for collaboration among governments, educational institutions, and corporate entities to create more opportunities for the youth. "Together, we can transform communities and build a stronger Nigeria," Suphi concluded.

This initiative marks a significant step toward fostering educational opportunities and technological advancement in Bauchi State, aiming to empower the next generation.
