In a statement issued in Gombe, Ibrahim Sani Shawai described the election as a crucial opportunity for the people to determine the future direction of the state through informed and responsible leadership choices.
He said Gombe requires a leader capable of sustaining the achievements of the current administration while introducing policies that address emerging challenges and stimulate long-term economic growth.
According to Shawai, leadership should not be determined by political sentiments alone but by proven character, capacity, experience and commitment to public service.
He maintained that effective governance demands a leader with sound economic understanding, a passion for education, support for innovation and the ability to unite people across political and social divides.
Shawai said Dr. Gwamna possesses those qualities, pointing to his record in the private sector as well as his contributions to education, healthcare, youth development and community empowerment.
He added that the APC candidate has consistently identified human capital development as a major priority, promising greater investment in education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, skills acquisition and youth empowerment if elected.
While acknowledging the importance of physical infrastructure, Shawai argued that sustainable development depends largely on improving the quality of life and expanding opportunities for citizens.
He also stated that Dr. Gwamna plans to consolidate policies that have delivered positive results while introducing fresh initiatives aimed at strengthening Gombe's economy and attracting investment.
The spokesman commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya's administration for its achievements in infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare and public sector reforms, noting that future governments should build on those gains.
He expressed confidence that Dr. Gwamna would foster strategic partnerships, encourage business growth and create an enabling environment for investors, farmers, entrepreneurs and young people.
Shawai urged the electorate to view the 2027 governorship election as an opportunity to promote inclusive governance, responsible leadership and sustainable development across Gombe State.
