2027: APC Faces No Serious Challenge in Ondo, Senator Ipinsagba Declares

‎Senator Olajide Ipinsagba, who represents Ondo North Senatorial District, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will dominate the 2027 general elections in Ondo State, insisting that the party currently has no formidable opposition.
‎Ipinsagba made the declaration on Friday in Ikare-Akoko, headquarters of Akoko North-West Local Government Area, while addressing party supporters after emerging as the APC's senatorial candidate for another term.
‎The lawmaker predicted victory for the APC in the presidential, senatorial and House of Representatives elections across the state, attributing the party's confidence to what he described as the performance of its elected officials.
‎According to him, President Bola Tinubu remains widely accepted by the electorate, adding that the administration's ongoing projects and policies have strengthened public confidence in the ruling party.
‎Ipinsagba argued that the achievements of APC officeholders at both the national and constituency levels have left opposition parties without candidates capable of mounting a serious electoral challenge in Ondo State.
‎He maintained that APC lawmakers representing the state have delivered meaningful projects to their constituents, saying their performances have continued to earn them the support of the people.
‎The senator urged party members to remain united and avoid actions capable of creating internal divisions ahead of the 2027 elections, stressing that cohesion within the party would be key to securing victory at all levels.
‎He also appreciated President Tinubu, the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and other APC leaders at the state and national levels for their support during the party's primary election.
‎Speaking at the event, former Deputy Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Fatai Olotu, commended Ipinsagba's stewardship in the Senate and expressed confidence that voters in Ondo North would return him for another term.
‎Also addressing party faithful, APC chieftain Mopelola Salami appealed to members who may be dissatisfied with the outcome of the party's primaries to embrace reconciliation in the interest of the party.
‎She urged party supporters to put aside their grievances and work collectively to ensure the re-election of President Tinubu and the success of APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
