Nigerian Model Oma Osele Crowned Miss Continental World 2026 in Thailand

Nigerian model Oma Osele has made history by winning the Miss Continental World 2026 title at the grand finale held in Ayutthaya, Thailand. Osele triumphed over contestants from various countries, with India’s Shreeya Panda finishing as the first runner-up.

At 28, Osele is not only a model but also a medical laboratory scientist and entrepreneur from Lagos. Her remarkable journey at the pageant was highlighted by two special awards: the Queen of Africa title for being the highest-placed African contestant and the Best National Costume award.

Osele earned her spot at the competition after winning the EliteGlam Pageant Nigeria 2025. Her momentum surged in September when she clinched the World Premiere Award, topping the global fan vote on Eventista’s 1Vote platform. She outperformed competitors, including India’s Monica Konjengbam and Thailand’s Pornpaya Rianju.

The World Premiere Award came with a media package, including official social media promotion and an Associated Press News press release, boosting her visibility ahead of the finale.

In addition to Osele’s success, Nigeria also achieved notable results in the male category. Unwana Sambo Essien finished as the third runner-up at the Mister Continental World 2026 finals, held on the same night. He also bagged the King of Kings title and the Best National Attire award.

Osele’s victory adds to a series of recent achievements for Nigeria in international beauty pageants, including Chidimma Adetshina’s impressive first runner-up finish at Miss Universe 2024.

Oma Osele is expected to return to Nigeria in the coming days, where her supporters eagerly await her homecoming. Her win not only elevates her career but also shines a spotlight on Nigeria’s growing prominence in the world of beauty pageants.
