In a video shared by Ekiti State Television (EKTV) on Facebook, Adeniyi proudly displayed a Wema Bank cheque detailing his contributions: N2 million for Tinubu, N1 million for Bamidele, and N500,000 for Fatoba.
Adeniyi explained his motivation, stating that he firmly believes Tinubu deserves a second term due to his administration's achievements.
"I am supporting Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his second-term ambition. I have borrowed money to support him because he’s doing a great job," he said.
In addition to his financial support, Adeniyi committed to actively campaigning for Tinubu, revealing plans to use a song to promote the president’s re-election bid. "I’m going to back him up with a song. On your mandate, we shall stand," he declared.
The driver urged fellow Nigerians to unite in their support for Tinubu, expressing optimism that a second term would yield even greater benefits for the nation.
"We should demonstrate love by voting for him, because we are still going to see much more than what we have received," he stated.
Adeniyi also praised Senator Bamidele for his contributions to projects in Ekiti, which inspired him to endorse the senator’s political ambitions.
"This is a good leader; the projects he has supported have made a positive impression on me," he said.
Operating around the BAO Timber Market along Ilawe Road in Ado Ekiti, Adeniyi's commitment to political support is not new. Earlier this year, he borrowed money through the digital lending platform OPay to brand a vehicle in support of Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji's re-election.
His actions illustrate the lengths to which individuals are willing to go to support their preferred candidates, showcasing a unique blend of personal sacrifice and political passion. As the election season heats up, Adeniyi’s story serves as a reminder of the grassroots support that can shape political landscapes.
