This initiative is part of the celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of the Gateway Front Foundation (GFF) and is set to run from October 9 to 24, 2026.
The outreach will offer a range of medical services, including consultations, medication, eye care, dental services, and both major and minor surgeries. A team of more than 50 medical professionals from the Sharing Hope Medical Mission in the United States will be participating in the initiative.
"This mission is designed to provide immediate medical intervention for indigent residents while enhancing the skills of our local healthcare practitioners," Daniel stated. The program aims to strengthen the capacity of local doctors through specialized training, ensuring sustainable healthcare improvements in the region.
Participants in the outreach will receive internationally recognized certifications in various life support techniques, including Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Additionally, the American medical team will conduct advanced surgical lectures to further develop local expertise.
To ensure effective coordination and crowd management, the outreach will be decentralized across the nine local government areas within the Ogun East Senatorial District. The initiative will kick off in Ijebu North at Kabiesi Solaja Hall and Bojowa Street, providing easy access to residents.
This free medical mission is particularly crucial for those who may not afford specialized healthcare services, allowing them access to quality treatment. Daniel's commitment to healthcare reflects a broader vision for improving public health in Ogun State.
As the event approaches, local communities are urged to take advantage of this invaluable opportunity for free medical care, marking a significant step toward better health outcomes in the region. The mission not only aims to address immediate healthcare needs but also aspires to foster a culture of continuous professional development among Nigerian healthcare practitioners.
With this initiative, Gbenga Daniel seeks to leave a lasting impact on the health and well-being of residents in Ogun East, reinforcing the importance of accessible healthcare for all.
