The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) has appointed Adeleye Falade, the Managing Director and CEO of Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG), to its Board of Directors. This move aims to bolster the organization’s policy advocacy and drive private sector-led economic reforms.
The announcement was made during the NESG’s 2026 Annual General Meeting on July 14, 2026, attended by board members, auditors, and key stakeholders. The meeting reviewed the group's activities and financial performance for the preceding year.
Falade’s appointment is seen as a strategic step towards enhancing NESG’s leadership with experienced professionals dedicated to promoting sustainable economic development and inclusive growth in Nigeria.
With nearly 30 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, Falade is well-regarded for his operational excellence and commitment to governance. Before leading NLNG, he was the Managing Director of Brunei LNG and held senior positions within the Shell Group across various continents.
His expertise spans operations management, engineering, and stakeholder engagement, making him a valuable asset for NESG’s mission. The organization expressed confidence that his deep understanding of the energy sector will enrich its policy dialogue and economic reform initiatives.
Falade holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Ibadan and an MBA from Henley Business School, University of Reading. He is also a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.
