The foundation made the appeal on Saturday during a humanitarian outreach to the Stella Obasanjo Motherless Babies Home in commemoration of philanthropist Femi Jaguar’s birthday.
Speaking during the visit, the foundation’s Executive Director, Adesina Olalekan, commended the management and staff of the home for their dedication and sacrifice in caring for the children.
Adesina expressed concern over what he described as declining public attention to motherless babies’ homes and similar care institutions, stressing that children living in such facilities should not be forgotten.
He called on Nigerians to extend acts of kindness and sustained support to the homes, noting that even small contributions could make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children.
Addressing the children, Adesina encouraged them not to allow their present circumstances to limit their dreams, urging them to remain committed to their education, work hard and maintain hope for the future.
He said the foundation chose to celebrate the birthday through humanitarian service because touching lives and restoring hope was a more meaningful way to mark the occasion.
“The greatest way to celebrate life is by touching other lives,” Adesina said, adding that the outreach was intended to remind the children that they are valued, loved and not forgotten.
He reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to expanding its humanitarian programmes across Nigeria, stressing that its activities go beyond donations.
According to him, the foundation is focused on creating opportunities, empowering families, supporting vulnerable communities and promoting sustainable development.
Adesina added that he and his team had continued to implement social and economic intervention programmes aimed at improving livelihoods and supporting people in need across the country.
