APM Unveils Ambitious Campaign for Makinde in 2027 Presidential Race

The Allied People’s Movement (APM) is gearing up to challenge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 presidential elections, launching a campaign that promises to be inclusive and driven by the voice of the people. Their candidate, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, is positioned as a strong contender, leveraging his governance record and growing popularity.

As the official campaign period kicks off, APM has established a nationwide network and formed alliances with opposition parties, setting the stage for a robust electoral challenge.

 National Publicity Secretary Yusuf Abubakar expressed confidence in their strategy, emphasizing that they are prepared to protect their votes and secure a decisive victory.

“We have a very popular Presidential candidate in Governor Seyi Makinde. Our strategies are aimed not just at winning, but also at ensuring that every vote is counted,” Abubakar stated during a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday.

The party has been diligently consulting across the country, gathering support and building a formidable campaign team, which will be unveiled in the coming days.

 The emphasis is on mobilizing Nigerians, leaving no stone unturned in their quest for electoral success.

Abubakar pointed to widespread dissatisfaction with the current administration, asserting that many Nigerians are eager for change and view Makinde as a credible alternative.

 “The Tinubu administration has failed to meet the expectations of the people. Our candidate holds a blueprint to address the pressing challenges facing Nigeria,” he said.

Recent electoral outcomes, particularly in the Osun State governorship election, serve to bolster APM's confidence in the power of the electorate. “The people have demonstrated their will.

 In January 2027, Nigerians will stand united for Seyi Makinde,” Abubakar declared.

The APM is committed to maintaining electoral integrity, calling on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies to ensure that the upcoming elections are free, fair, and credible. 

The party aims to create a transparent electoral process that reflects the true will of the people.
