Akpabio: APC Poised to Highlight Key Achievements Ahead of 2027 Elections

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has confidently asserted that the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by President Bola Tinubu, is ready to showcase its substantial achievements as the 2027 elections approach. During a recent meeting with the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions, he expressed optimism about Tinubu’s re-election.

Akpabio reassured colleagues, especially those not returning to the 11th Senate, that their loyalty to the party and the President will be recognized, urging them to continue contributing to the party’s growth and success.

“The current President has accomplished a great deal for Nigerians,” Akpabio noted. “When he assumed office, 27 states struggled to pay salaries and pensions. Today, that situation has improved significantly due to his innovative leadership.”

He emphasized that in 2027, Nigerians will be able to differentiate between the APC's accomplishments and those of its opponents, confidently predicting Tinubu’s re-election. “Opposition candidates cannot match the achievements we have,” he asserted.

Akpabio expressed pride in the 10th Senate’s progress, confirming their commitment to work closely with the executive branch to further benefit the populace. He dismissed social media narratives that undermine their efforts, stating, “It’s garbage in, garbage out.”

Senator Mohammed Dandutse, who led the visiting committee, commended Akpabio's leadership and highlighted the crucial laws enacted under his guidance, particularly those impacting education through TETFUND and NELFUND.

“We are here to pay homage to our leader,” Dandutse said, emphasizing the importance of education in national development. He expressed gratitude for Akpabio’s support, which has been instrumental in advancing these educational initiatives.

As the APC gears up for a vigorous campaign, Akpabio's remarks reflect a strategic focus on their record and a commitment to engaging voters effectively ahead of the elections. The party aims to leverage its achievements while countering the narratives of the opposition.
