Aiyedatiwa Strengthens Governance with Massive Appointments in Ondo State

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has taken significant steps to enhance governance by approving a wave of new appointments. 

This includes one commissioner, three special advisers, 90 senior special assistants, and a staggering 910 special assistants.

The announcement came through a statement from Aiyedatiwa’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.

 The governor nominated Erelu Taibat Oloruntoba from Akoko North-West Local Government Area as the new Commissioner for Special Duties, with her nomination forwarded to the Ondo State House of Assembly for screening.

Along with Oloruntoba, Aiyedatiwa appointed three special advisers:Hon. Abimbola Fajolu as the Special Adviser on Environment, Chief Ade Adeniyi as the  Special Adviser on Rural and Community Development  and Mr. Muyiwa Ogunyemi as the Special Adviser on Transport  

A list of some newly appointed Senior Special Assistants has also been released, showcasing a diverse range of roles aimed at boosting service delivery, we have Erelu Toyin Ogungbure as the Women Mobilisation, South, Bidemi Obayangbon,Forestry, Gboluge Olufunmi Alex Community Engagement, South , Hon. Akin Adeniyi, Community Engagement, Central, Kelvin Solomon, Students Affairs, Fade Ojamomi, Youth Empowerment and Job Creation. 

The statement indicated that the full list of the 90 Senior Special Assistants and 910 Special Assistants will be disclosed soon.

 All appointments are effective immediately, marking a proactive move by Aiyedatiwa to ensure effective governance and improved public service.

This extensive reshuffle is seen as a strategy to strengthen the administration ahead of upcoming challenges and enhance the state's responsiveness to the needs of its residents. 

With a focus on various sectors, the appointments reflect a commitment to inclusive governance and community engagement.

As Ondo State gears up for these changes, the governor’s initiatives are expected to foster collaboration and innovation, paving the way for a more effective administration.
