Adeleke vs. Tinubu: Momodu Declares Osun Election a Battle of Titans, Not Parties"

In a bold assertion, Dele Momodu, a prominent figure in the African Democratic Congress, emphasized that the upcoming Osun State governorship election on August 15 is a showdown between incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke and President Bola Tinubu, rather than a contest against the All Progressives Congress (APC). 

Momodu revealed his support for Adeleke during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, aligning with the coalition of opposition parties despite being an ADC member.

 He underscored the necessity for unity among opposition factions, asserting that the APC is no match for Adeleke in Osun.

Reflecting on his long-standing friendship with Adeleke, Momodu described him as a victim of “bullying” and “intimidation,” urging all citizens to rally behind the governor. 

He acknowledged the ADC's own candidate, Najeem Salam, but pleaded for the party’s understanding, stating, “On this occasion, they should please loan me to Ademola Adeleke.”

With the election fast approaching, Adeleke seeks re-election against candidates including Bola Oyebamiji of the APC and Salam of the ADC.
