During a press briefing in Umuahia, held in conjunction with the South-East Security Summit, Idris emphasized the need for reforms to rebuild Nigeria’s economy. Idris pointed out that the removal of fuel subsidies and reforms in the foreign exchange market are pivotal to creating a more transparent and investment-friendly environment. The South-East Regional Security Summit, co-hosted by the Federal Ministry of Defence and the Abia State Government, brought together diverse stakeholders, including government officials, security agencies, traditional leaders, and community representatives.
