The Grammy-nominated singer made the disclosure during a live conversation on Davrel Twitch, where he compared his spending habits in Nigeria with those in the United States.
Davido explained that he spends significantly less whenever he is in America because his immediate household is limited to himself, his wife and their children.
According to him, life in Nigeria is different, with frequent social activities and responsibilities that naturally increase his monthly expenses.
"I actually spend less in America because I live with just me, my wife and my kids," he said.
He added that his spending rises considerably whenever he is in Nigeria because he is constantly entertaining people and attending social gatherings.
Asked to estimate his monthly expenditure, the singer said his personal expenses typically range between $200,000 and $300,000.
Davido, however, clarified that the figure does not include his wife's expenses, household maintenance or luxury purchases such as cars and jewellery.
He stressed that those additional expenses are separate from the amount he disclosed during the live session.
Beyond discussing his finances, the award-winning artiste also shared plans to invest in mental health support for former celebrities.
Davido said he hopes to establish a therapy centre for entertainers and public figures who struggle to cope after losing fame and success.
According to him, the initiative is aimed at helping such individuals rebuild their lives and adjust to life outside the spotlight.
His comments have since generated widespread reactions on social media, with many Nigerians expressing surprise at the scale of the singer's monthly personal spending while others praised his proposed mental health initiative.
