PDP Names Aderoju as Gbolarumi’s Running Mate for Oyo 2027

The Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially announced Prince Emmanuel Ademola Aderoju as the deputy governorship candidate for the upcoming 2027 general elections. The announcement was made in a statement signed by the party’s chairman, Professor Abdulrahman Akinoso.

Chief Hazeem Gbolarumi is the party’s governorship candidate, and Aderoju's selection as his running mate is seen as a strategic move for the party. Akinoso highlighted Aderoju's commendable background as a key factor in his selection.

Hailing from Ofiki in the Oke-Ogun geopolitical zone, Aderoju is a seasoned professional, aged 67. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and holds an Associate designation from the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. Additionally, he is a certified information systems auditor.

Aderoju completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Calabar, where he was recognized as the best graduating student, receiving the Elumelu Legacy Prize for excellence in business administration.

The PDP hopes that Aderoju's extensive experience and qualifications will bolster the party's chances in the forthcoming elections. His appointment signals a commitment to fielding strong candidates focused on governance and development in Oyo State.

As the political landscape heats up ahead of the 2027 elections, the PDP aims to present a united front under Gbolarumi and Aderoju, positioning themselves as a formidable choice for the electorate.

With both candidates bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience, the party is optimistic about its prospects for success in the upcoming polls.
