In an interview on Vanguard’s Politics Hub, Gbadamosi explained why he believes the ADC offers a viable alternative, citing his past attempts with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He emphasized that the outcome of the election hinges on the choices made by Lagos voters, asserting, “There are no certainties in politics. It’s down to the people to choose what they want.”
Referencing the recent Osun State governorship election, he called on Lagosians to decide if they want a change. “The people of Osun chose freedom again this year. It’s now up to Lagosians,” he said.
Gbadamosi highlighted critical issues like water supply, waste management, and overall living conditions as key factors for voters to consider. “We have 25 million Lagosians who need to decide whether they want to continue living in a city with no water and pervasive refuse,” he stated.
When questioned about his strategy for victory, Gbadamosi emphasized that it ultimately depends on the electorate's will. “The people of Lagos must choose whether they want to keep living in a smelling cesspit,” he remarked, rejecting reliance on predetermined political strategies.
He criticized the focus on political appearances without tangible solutions for the city’s challenges. “They need to decide if they want to keep seeing agbada after agbada on their screens without real problem-solving,” he said.
As the 2027 election approaches, Gbadamosi's message resonates with many who are frustrated with the current administration and are seeking real change in Lagos. The ADC candidate remains optimistic about the potential for a shift in political power, urging residents to take an active role in shaping their future.
