Prof. Mkpa Mkpa, the group's Secretary and former Vice-Chancellor of Abia State University, emphasized the importance of continuing Otti's governance, citing the positive changes seen in the state. “We have never had it this good in terms of leadership,” he stated, advocating for the next generation to carry on Otti’s initiatives.
The stakeholders are mobilizing efforts for voter education, particularly targeting grassroots communities and youth. They called for vigilance against inducements from opposing parties, urging supporters to vote for Otti while remaining aware of possible pressures.
The group’s message was clear: “We must not let this opportunity slip through our fingers. We can proudly say we are Abians now, and we must continue to support our governor.”
Former Minister Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah and economist Urum Eke reinforced the need for a united front against mediocrity in leadership. They emphasized that Abians will no longer tolerate subpar governance.
Ebueme Ezikpe, the convener of the Alliance for Good Governance, highlighted the platform's role in shaping the state's political landscape, noting Otti’s achievements in restoring sanity to governance.
As the 2027 elections approach, the alliance is determined to ensure that Otti's vision for Abia continues, underscoring the collective responsibility of all stakeholders to facilitate his re-election.
