During a recent inspection of major infrastructure projects in Abuja, Wike emphasized that his leadership has brought significant transformation to the city since he took office on August 21, 2023.
To commemorate these milestones, Wike announced the forthcoming publication of a comprehensive report detailing both completed and initiated projects under his administration, as well as those inherited from previous governments.
“Our commitment to reviving abandoned projects and delivering new infrastructure is evident,” Wike stated. He acknowledged the initial challenges but expressed confidence in his team's ability to overcome obstacles.
“The residents of the FCT can attest to the positive changes we have made,” he affirmed, underscoring the administration's dedication to urban renewal and infrastructure development.
Wike noted that many had doubted the extent of progress possible when he assumed office. “Today, the results speak for themselves,” he added, pointing to a visible transformation across the capital.
The Minister reiterated that his administration has focused on completing critical projects that had been neglected for years, some dating back to 1999. “The track record of our accomplishments is there for all to see,” he asserted.
Expressing pride in his contributions to the FCT's development, Wike stated, “I am very happy that I have been able to contribute my own quota to the development of the FCT.”
