Speaking at the flag-off ceremony for the dualisation of the Ibadan-Ijebu Road in Ogun State, where Tinubu was represented by Governor Dapo Abiodun, Ladoja emphasized the importance of the project for local safety and economic welfare.
“This should not be seen as an APC rally,” he remarked, distancing Tinubu's efforts from party politics. “Bola Tinubu is not just an APC man; he is actively working for the people and deserves to be president for a long, long time.”
Ladoja highlighted the road's historical association with security issues, particularly kidnappings, indicating that its reconstruction would enhance safety and connectivity in the region.
He praised Tinubu's initiative in approving the road project, demonstrating a commitment to the people's needs. “His performance should not be judged solely through party lines,” Ladoja stated, reinforcing that Tinubu is the president of Nigeria, not just the APC.
While acknowledging that Tinubu's success could bolster the APC's chances in upcoming elections, Ladoja urged other political parties to present viable alternatives to the electorate.
“The people of Ibadan will ultimately decide their political future,” he asserted, expressing confidence in their judgment come election time.
