Nollywood Star Wale Elesho Undergoes Surgery, ANTP Quashes Cancer Rumors

Nollywood actor Adewale Elesho, a former President of the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP), recently underwent successful facial surgery, putting to rest alarming rumors about his health.

The announcement came from ANTP's National Publicity Secretary, Oluwafemi Adejonwo, known as Femson, who shared the news on Facebook.

Wale's health became a topic of concern after fans noticed a visible injury on his face during the burial of veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, also known as Ogogo, in Ilaro, Ogun State. Speculations about skin cancer began circulating widely on social media.

In response, the ANTP released a statement confirming the operation's success, emphasizing that Elesho was stable and on the mend. They reassured fans that, while there had been various rumors, there was no confirmation of a cancer diagnosis.

“The operation was successful, and he is recovering well,” Femson said in a follow-up update. “Thank you all for your prayers and concerns.”

The association urged the public to continue supporting Wale with positive thoughts as he recuperates. They did not specify the exact nature of the surgery, focusing instead on the actor's well-being.

Fans and colleagues are relieved by the news, expressing their gratitude for the updates and remaining hopeful for Wale's speedy recovery.

As the Nollywood community rallies around their beloved actor, they are reminded of the power of support during challenging times.
