He made the remark on Sunday at the 50th birthday celebration of Islamic musician Hafsat Adegoke and the unveiling of her new album in Alausa, Lagos.
Recounting his humble beginnings, MC Oluomo said he started working as a bus conductor at a young age, earning enough to support his mother while meeting his personal needs.
According to him, his rise to the leadership of the NURTW was built on years of commitment, discipline, and dedication to the transport sector.
"I didn't become NURTW President by chance. I learnt the work, mastered it, and gradually rose through the ranks. Although I didn't have the opportunity to attend school, the knowledge and understanding I have acquired through experience are, in my opinion, greater than what many degree holders possess," he said.
The union leader also highlighted the educational achievements of his children, noting that while he missed out on formal education, he ensured they received quality education.
He disclosed that his children are professionals, including a doctor, a lawyer, and an engineer, currently residing in the United States.
MC Oluomo further reflected on his long-standing relationship with Fuji musician Saheed Osupa, recalling that they had known each other since childhood.
Speaking on family responsibilities, he urged fathers to prioritise the welfare of their wives and children, describing parental responsibility as a sacred duty.
According to him, many women have become the primary providers in their homes due to the failure of some husbands to cater to their families.
He cautioned men against neglecting their responsibilities, stressing that parents must make the well-being and future of their children a priority.
