2023 Election;Tinubu Storms Abeokuta,Held Closed Door Meeting With Obasanjo

The Presidential Candidate of All Progressive Party (APC) Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu on   Tuesday held a closed door meeting with the former President Olusegun Obasanjo at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Laibary ( OOPL), Abeokuta,Ogun State.

Tinubu arrived the venue at about 1pm in company of the Speaker House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila,Former Osun State Governor Chief Bisi Akande,former and pioneer   Chairman of EFCC, Nuhu Ribadu.

He was warmly welcome by the state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun,two former Ogun State Governors,Aremo Segun Osoba and Otunba Gbenga Daniel and host of party loyalists who had thronged the OOPL as early as 10am.

The meeting was held for almost four hours before Asiwaju and his entourage moved to MKO Abiola Stadium,Kuto Abeokuta.

At the Stadium,  thousands of Artisans and party faithfuls had gathered in joyfull mood dancing and singing to receive Asiwaju whom they described as provider of sourcour to the poor masses 

Arriving to the Stadium at about 3.45pm,Asiwaju while addressing the gathering said campaign has not started but just come on visit to greet them.

"Am here just to greet you and say hello to you all,God will bless you. I will soon be with you when campaign start and we shall rob minds together thank you." he concluded.

Meanwhile,earlier before him,the State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun had described the Artisans as the heartbeat of Ogun State economy that contributed greatly to the Gross Domestic Products GDP of the state.

Am looking forward to more robust relationship with you people as all your demands would be looked into for favourable consideration Abiodun stated.                      

The Governor also provided them with four brand new buses one each to Ogun Central,Ogun East,Remo and Ogun West.

The Artisans had earlier regusted the State Governor to create a special Cooperative Society for them to enable them  access fund for the development of their businesses.

They at the same time asked for the provision of Artisans Village inform of housing estate where members will be able to own  private lands and eventually built various houses of their interests.
