Nnadi Assumes Office As Controller Ogun Area 1 Customs Command

Comptroller Dera Nnadi has been appointed as the Controller of Ogun Area 1 Command of Nigeria Customs Service,Idiroko,Ogun State.

First Awareness reports that, Prior to his appointment as Controller, Comptroller Dera Nnadi had served in the Command as Deputy Compt  (DC) in charge of Administration and was recently promoted to the rank of Comptroller of Customs. 

Nnadi took  over the mantle of leadership last Monday from Comptroller Peter Kolo who has been in charge of the Command since 2019  after the  posting of the former Controller, Micheal Ojobo Agbara to Customs headquarters,Abuja.

This new appointment was contained in a press statement made available to news men by the Command Public Relations Officer (PRO) Deputy Superintendent Of Customs (DSC), Hameed Bukoye Oloyede

According to Oloyede,Compt Peter Kolo in his handing over speech,   thanked  the Controller General of Customs (CGC)  Hameed Ali and the entire Management of the Service for giving  him the opportunity and level playing ground to serve as the Area Controller of Ogun Area I Command. 

He expressed his gratitude to all principal and entire officers of Ogun Area 1 Command for their unflinching support and  their cooperation. 

He congratulated the new CAC whom he described his appointment as a round peg in a round hole. 

He added that he is rest assured that ,the new Controller,will sustain his legacy and even build on it. He prayed and wished him well in his new endeavor.

In his own response,the newly promoted Comt. Dera Nnadi thanked the NCS Management for finding him worthy of the position and pledged to discharge his duty with due diligence and high sense of responsibility. 

He thanked the outgoing CAC for his mentorship and selfless service to the Nation. 

He appreciated his administrative style and promised to uphold his legacy to an enviable status for the Service.

 He therefore wished Kolo  happy and peaceful retirement. 

Nnadi also  called on all the principal officers and the entire Officers/Men of the Command to extend their loyalty and cooperation to him.

Meanwhile,First Awareness reports that,Compt. Peter Kolo has proceeded on his three months pre-retirement leave.
