The Ogun State Government has said that it is set to present staff of office to Abdul-Ganiyu Awokoya Yesufu, as the first Onirete of Irete-Ijebu, in Odogbolu Local Government Area of the State.
According to the Coronation Planning Committee, the Coronation event will take place on Saturday, October 2, at the open field of Tai Solarin College of Education, lrete-Ijebu.
According to the Coordinator of coronation programme, Saheed Dosumu, the event would be the first of its kind in the history of the town.
"Because of Its nature,all hands would be on deck to ensure successful event which is billed to attract high powered dignitaries across the country."
Dosumu further remarked that the new dawn would bring development to the town in all ramifications.
He commended the state governor, Dapo Abiodun for the approval of the installation and coronation, thereby restoring the glory and pride of the town.
He appreciated the state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Afolabi Afuape and his team at the Ministry.
Dosumu also lauded the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, for endorsing the stool of Onirete of Irete-Ijebu for the Governor’s approval.
He also thanked the Dagburewe of Idowa, Oba Yinusa Adekoya and all Ijebu Obas for the supports rendered to the actualisation of the Onirete stool.
He therefore,congratulated the traditional ruler on his ascension to the throne of his forefathers and prayed that the traditional ruler’s reign would usher peace, and unprecedented development to the town.
